Ipsos Synovate: Raila Odinga loses popularity as Uhuru Kenyatta massively gains

Former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, is losing his popularity pretty fast compared to President Uhuru Kenyatta, who is gaining every day.
According to a research released by Ipsos Synovate on Friday, Raila has lost 4o percent of his supporters for the last one year compared to Uhuru Kenyatta who has consolidated his position.
Ipsos Synovate Managing Director, Aggrey Oriwo, said only 6o percent of those who voted for Raila for President in 2013 would do so today.
Oriwo said 4o percent of Raila’s supporters think that he is old and he should retire and 14 percent of them support President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Oriwo concluded by saying if elections are held today, President Uhuru Kenyatta will still win with a landslide because he is currently commanding 48 percent of the electorate while Raila Odinga is commanding only 23 percent.
