RAILA FOR HOMABAY COUNTY SENATOR????

A section of Luo community politicians met onThursday evening at Laico Regency and proposed that former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, succeeds late Homa Bay Senator, Gerald Otieno Kajwang as the Homa Bay Senator.

The members who comprised over 20 MPs, six Senators, and 3 Governors said Raila Odinga should vie for the Homa Bay Senate seat as a sign of respect to his friend Otieno Kajwang who died mysteriously onTuesday at The Mater Hospital, Nairobi.

However when contacted, the former PM was non-committal on the proposal and instead urged the Luo leaders to mourn the Senator and stop speaking about Kajwang’s succession.

Raila Odinga will vie as Homa Bay Senator to succeed Otieno Kajwang

Kajwang, who was a close ally of the former PM, died on Tuesday evening after suffering a fatal cardiac arrest.
The date of the burial of the veracious Senator is yet to be announced but sources said he will be buried nextweek at his home village in Homa Bay County.
