People who had turned up at Nanyuki high court shed tears as a six year old boy, narrated how he saw his father murder their mother.
In the case, Alexander Karue Wahome is charged that on October 10 this year 2016, at Kiambiriria trading centers, Nyeri County, he murdered Thogori Karugu.
The minor Joseph Wahome told Justice Mary Kasango that on the material date at around 6.00am, his father drew a knife under the mattress of the bed he was sleeping with their mother, and cut her on the neck twice as they watched with his small brother, aged two.
Wahome added, he feared for their lives after witnessing what their father was doing and held his younger brother’s hand and they run out of the house.
The young boy said he decided that they should walk to their aunts’ home at Baraka estate and inform them about the incident.

Stephen Njoroge, the husband to his deceased sister, said the accused called him in a rude tone at 7.00am and asked him to come for the young children. In company of his wife, they drove their lorry to Kiambiriria and on the way met Joseph and his brother crying.
They rushed to the house and found blood splashed all over the bedroom, and the accused holding a knife with his hands on the back ,while the lifeless body of Thogori lay on the floor.
Njoroge said he alerted Nanyuki police about the incident, and on arrival, the police arrested the accused and escorted him to the station and charged him with the offence.Thogori’s body was taken to Nanyuki referral and teaching hospital mortuary.
The hearing will continue on November 23 this year where other witnesses will give evidence.
