A 16 year old boy was shot on the head in Embu town as he waited for his father outside a chemist. The incident happened while police were trying to disperse a mob that was trying to lynch a rogue city pastor.

The rogue pastor was caught in a compromising situation devouring ‘sheep’.It is reported that the pastor had an affair with the wife of a prominent business man in Embu.
The businessman got wind of his wife’s affair with the pastor and managed to nab the two in the act at a popular entertainment joint in Embu town.
The businessman caused a scene attracting a sizable crowd that threatened to lynch the pastor and set his car ablaze. In the pandemonium that followed, police officers resorted to using lethal force to disperse the crowd.
The boy’s father, Richard Gichovi said that he heard a scuffle followed by gunshots and walked outside to see his son on the floor bleeding as people scampered for safety.
Irked residents in Embu told journalists that it was not the first time that the pastor had been caught in a love triangle.
Kelvin who was rushed to the Embu level five hospital died as he waited to be attended to. He was taken to the hospital’s mortuary.
“I had taken Macharia to Embu Level 5 Hospital for his broken hand to be examined but the health workers were on strike, I then went to buy medicine at the chemist when the tragedy occurred,” the boy’s father was quoted by thestandard .
The police are being questioned on the use of lethal force to disperse the crowd even as residents threaten to teach the pastor a lesson. The pastor is a minister at Victory Manifestation Christian Church in Kivwe, Embu. He is being held at Embu police station pending investigation into the matter.
There has bee a rise of rogue pastors in recent years. It is probably for this reason that the masses have taken action to clean out the rot in the church and consequently,the society.
In Embu, such cases are rife. In September, 2015, a pastor survived a beating after he was caught with another man’s wife at a city lodging.
