Parents of domestic violence victim come to ear-blows over hospital bill cash

A day after a video of a 22-year-old lady being battered by her husband went viral, another involving her parents fighting over cash meant to offset her hospital bill has hit the inter-webs.
The mother to Justa Kawira who was seriously injured by her husband and ended up in hospital is evidently angry in the latest video accusing her father of plotting to swindle the hospital bill cash.
The cash was apparently sent to Kawira’s father by his son-in-law but the man apparently wanted to divert it for some other use.
This, notwithstanding the fact that his daughter was wreathing in pain at Lang’ata hospital as a result of domestic violence. Watch video below.
“I will lock you up today…If my daughter is in hospital and you have swindled money meant for her bill, you will have it rough,” said a visibly angry Kawira’s mum as captured in the viral video.
The parents even come to near-blows with both threatening to beat up the other as police from Lang’ata police station came in to rescue the situation.

They took away Kawira’s father to Lang’ata police station where he was to record a statement on why he had refused to pay the hospital bill.

He however told police officers that the money was a meant to offset a debt owed to him by his son-in-law and had nothing to do with the hospital bill.
The six-month pregnant Kawira recounted how her husband battered her while noting that it was not the first time she was falling victim to domestic violence.
“He had come with a friend of his to the house who I have never seen before and they were taking photos of our household electronic so when I questioned the motive, a disagreement ensued and he started beating me,” she said as quoted by Capital FM.

At one time she said that he stubbed her with a knife wit the resultant injury causing her to miscarry a two-month pregnancy and it appears she has severally been a victim of domestic violence.
