What Raila Thinks about Waigurus Gubernatorial Race

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has finally given his take on plans by embattled former Devolution Cabinet Secretary, Anne Waiguru, to run for Nairobi Governor on President Uhuru Kenyatta’s JAP in 2017, even after resigning over corruption.

In a statement through his Spokesman, Dennis Onyango, Raila laughed off the idea, terming it the height of impunity.

He noted that fronting Waiguru for the position of Governor only meant that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Government did not take the fight against corruption seriously.

“The other day, we smoked out a key member of Jubilee stealing money from National Youth Service accounts. Now suddenly that is the person Jubilee is fronting for Governor of Nairobi. Corruption runs in Jubilee blood,” said Dennis Onyango.

He urged Kenyans to register as voters in large numbers to vote Uhuru’s Government out saying that was the only way to tackle corruption.

“Corruption cannot end under the Jubilee government. It is the way they live. Corruption is what they know. That is what they learnt under KANU. The only cure available to Kenyans is to prepare and vote out Jubilee,” he said.
