Man Linking DP ruto with Murder of Jacob Juma Detained
A man who is said to have delivered to Boniface Mwangi a letter about businessman Jacob Juma's murder has been given a four-day detention.
Douglas Nyakundi claimed to work at Deputy President William Ruto's office and mad a delivery of the letter said to carry a confession revealing how the murder was planned then later executed.
He said he was an office messenger and was sent by his boss (identified only as Rono) to deliver the letter.
According to senior principal magistrate Teresiah Nyangena, Nyakundi will be detained at the Kilimani police station after police requested so.
DCI investigator Philip Mwangi revealed that police needed more time to establish whether or not Rono and Nyakundi work in Ruto’s office.
"(We also need to) ascertain the authenticity of the letter," he told the court.
The court was told that the letter which is titled 'self-confession' has the names of people who killed Juma
