Sued over office sex Nairobi
A man is accused of having sexual intercourse in the office.
Sean(Not his real name) is facing 5 00000 adultery damages over allegations of having sex with his married workmate Jane.
This came after the ‘husband’ filed the suit at Nairobi magistrates’ court.
Through his lawyer, Sean told the court that Ishmael had no legal basis to file the suit against him since he had since parted ways with the wife.
“We are disputing the said claims Your honour, but before we even get into the merits of the matter, we would want the applicant to prove to us if he is still married to the woman in question.
“We have been reliably informed by Jane that their union had since collapsed and she has been staying at her parents’ place.
“Therefore it is our plea to the applicant for him to prove that he is still in the marital union with Jane,” said the lawyer.
In response, Ishmael told the court that he had no problem in providing the court with evidence.
“There are so many people who can testify that she is still my wife and those people can come and give their testimony to the court.
“If she was not my wife, I would not have made the adultery claim against the respondent,” he said.
Presiding magistrate deferred the case to December 27 to allow both parties to bring in their witnesses.
