The Kenyan national volleyball team Malkia Strikers have made us proud once more after winning the Grand Prix title. Despite starting on a bad note,  Malkia Strikers came back from 1-0 to outrun Peru in 4 sets (25-21 17-25 22-25 23-25) in Canberra, Australia, wining the gold medal.

This was the first time Kenya reached the final round of the Grand Prix as they failed to make it last year in their debut season. A few weeks ago, Malkia Strikers defended their Africa Nations Volleyball Championship title in a match against Algeria in a repeat of their group stages match that ended 3-0 in favor of Kenya at the Kasarani Safaricom Indoor Arena.
